原義は「離れていく」

【解説】
「行く」と go は必ずしも一致しない。
"Dinner is ready." "OK, I'm coming."
「夕食できたよ」「うん、すぐ行くよ」
I'm going. は「離れていく」という意味を含むため、この場合用いない。

パソコンがどうしても動かない。

Things have gone bad.
情勢は悪くなった。
His hair is going gray.
彼は白髪になってきている。
